How to Quickly Make a Killer Pico de Gallo

How to Quickly Make a Killer Pico de Gallo

You might not think quick can get along with salsa, but if you are making a Pico de Gallo, then quick is certainly a way I characterize the method I use which is chopping up all the vegetables by using a FullStar Vegetable Chopper. It is absolutely a time saver and what it more, you can easily wash the chopper in the top rack of your dishwasher so clean-up isn’t a large chore either.

So as you may have guessed, Pico de Gallo has become my go to salsa as it is easy to make, tastes very fresh and it’s very easy to control the heat level by choosing the specific onion and pepper combo that you chop up. Want it really spicy? Try using habanero and red onion. Want it really mild, use a yellow onion with pasilla peppers. Personally, we like a bit of both so this recipe uses pasilla peppers and red onions.

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped.
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped.
  • 1 pasilla pepper, chopped.
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped.
  • 2 cloves of Garlic, minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
