So Burger King is promoting Ghost Pepper chicken nuggets. Now this is the same pepper that sent Rhett and Link straight for the ice cream and has been made into a 1 chip challenge as being one of the hottest peppers in existence. So are the ghost pepper nuggets from Burger King that hot?

After buying and eating them, I must say I am truly disappointed. They are no where near as hot as I thought they would be. A couple of times I’ve tried food that was too hot for me to eat – an extremely spicy dish from a Thai restaurant and a ramen bowl of noodles from Sichuan. These were no where near being too spicy for me to be able to eat. They are certainly spicier than regular chicken nuggets, but they aren’t too spicy to eat.
Honestly, there wasn’t any real reason for Burger King to put ghost peppers in their chicken nuggets. The additional spicy flavor wasn’t something to write home about and the level of heat was even lower than a great spicy snack, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. If you want spicy nuggets, put the spice in the dipping sauce instead.
So if you’re wondering if you should go out and get some ghost pepper nuggets, just don’t. They aren’t any better than plain chicken nuggets.
