A Simple Way To Make Tender, Succulent Chicken Thighs

The instant pot is a dream come true. Tender, juicy food in a short amount of time has never been easier or simpler to do. Just place the chicken in your favorite marinade, place it in the pressure cooker, set the timer and when the appliance beeps, dinner is served.

Ingredients:

  • 5 Chicken Thighs $5.04
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic, Crushed $0.06
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt $0.08
  • 2 tsp Pepper $0.19
  • 1 tsp Paprika $0.10
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil $0.27
Total:  $5.74

Preparation:

  1. Set the Multipot to Saute
  2. Season the chicken thighs with garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and dried basil.
  3. Add 1 Tbsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter to the pot
  4. Add thighs skin side down and let it brown for 5 minutes. 
  5. Press “cancel/off” button. 
  6. Remove the chicken onto a plate and add 1 cup of water to the Pot. 
  7. Place the trivet in the pot and arrange chicken thighs on the trivet skin side up. 
  8. Set the Multipot to cook for 12 minutes. 
  9. Quick Release the pressure when you are ready to serve.
