I’ve juiced many a lemon and many a lime by hand, and by a citrus juicer. So when I saw one of these lemon squeezers in my local market, I was curious to know how it stacks up against the more standard methods of squeezing out the juice of lemons and limes – two of the most essential citrus fruits for my kitchen.

But after buying one, it didn’t come with directions and I was stuck to searching online to find the most efficient or best way to use one. And after searching long and hard, I settled on the slice it in half, cut off the top, and put it in the lemon squeezer in the form fitting fashion and it seems to work well.
After using the lemon squeezer a lot, I stopped using it for a while and only squeezed limes by hand into the dish where I wanted that citrus flavor. Then recently while making lemonade and using a standard citrus juicer, I remembered that I had a lemon squeezer and took it out again. I was reminded how useful the tool really is at extracting the juice and more importantly, keeping the seeds out of whatever I’m preparing.
So this is one of those one job kitchen tools that I use frequently and thus I don’t mind having one in my kitchen drawer.
