Do you see those on-line stores selling high priced steaks and you wonder if it’s worth the price? Well wonder no more as we have taken Omaha steaks to the task. I got some N.Y. Omaha steaks as a Christmas present and have bought some N.Y. Costco Steaks to see how they compare.

Both steaks were quite tender and the Omaha steak certainly had a special flavor that we didn’t get from the Costco steak. They were absolutely enjoyable steaks, but it wasn’t like the flavor of the Omaha steak was that much better than Costco, and Happy Healthy Daughter even preferred the flavor of the Costco steak.
Taking the price into account the Costco steaks cost $14.99 per pound when I bought them, and the Omaha steaks actually cost $40.00 per pound. And none of us believed the Omaha steaks were worth over twice the price, they certainly weren’t twice as good as the Costco steaks.
So in our estimation, while the Omaha steaks were a nice experiment, they certainly are not worth their exorbitant price when a cheaper grocery store steak will satisfy the palate just as well as the Omaha version.
