Does This Crowded Mom and Pop Joint Deliver the Best Italian Flavors?

Near Los Angeles in a place called Tustin lies a great Mom and Pop Italian restaurant. Or at least if you believe the crowds you see around this place on the weekends, then it must be great. But is it worth the wait and price?

The Video Review

While in the area, we did a Google search for Italian restaurants in the area, mainly because my daughter loves Italian food and more often than not, we like to humor her and dine at these fine restaurants.

Try not to fill up on the delicious rolls that they bring out to your table when you sit down. As tempting and good as they may be, they will only take up room in your stomach for the courses that are to follow.

The calamari fritti appetizer was the start of a beautiful friendship. Crispy and delicious with the sauce to go with it. Followed by a wonderful antipasto salad that we all enjoyed as well.

But the star of the night was none other than the linguini giovanni. A delightful pasta dish that combined spinach, garlic, and olive oil in such a wonderful flavor combination that I would return if only to eat that dish again. The spaghetti Roma D’ Italia was also a flavor combination to die for.

We finished off with a somewhat lack luster pizza but the tiramisu saved the day for our daughter who thoroughly enjoyed every coffee flavored bite.

With the flavor combinations being the star for this restaurant, it certainly was worth the trip and I’m sure we’ll be back for seconds.
