While browsing Amazon for quality of life improvements for the kitchen, I came across the Snap N Strain Strainer from Kitchen Gizmo. Seeing this device piqued my curiosity and looked to me like it would simplify straining pasta, ground beef, fruits, potatoes, and any other item that is soaked with water or grease.
The Video Review
I tried it on every pot and pan I had to see its effectiveness and found out that it attached to almost any pot and pan I had, including the inner pot of my Instant Pot. I began to use it incessantly and fell in love with it’s ease of use with the pour spout and ability to not dirty another dish or need to place a strainer in the sink.
The only difficulty I’ve found in using it to try and strain ground beef when browned in a pan. I found out that the pans tended to be too shallow and the strainer was not able to hold the food in the pan. The strainer would touch the bottom of the pan itself and as much as I tried, I couldn’t get the food or items I wanted to separate from the liquid to fit under the strainer.
Aside from that, the Kitchen Gizmo Snap N Strain strainer has found a permanent spot in my cabinet and gets used frequently.
